IPOH: The second Ipoh International Fashion Week (IIFW’18) is now back with line-up of hundreds renowned fashion designers, both international and locally, and this year it is even bigger.
Founder of IIFW, Louis Sebastian said that the second season of the show promises to showcase Perak-based fashion to the niche market as well as bringing the world class standard into the state.
A joint effort with Perak Tourism Association to heighten the fashion industry of Perak, Louis promises to present a three days excitement filled with fashion forward shows starting from 9th until 11th November in three different venues.
Not forgetting the disadvantaged, IIFW Second Season will also become a key part in generating funds for the benefit of Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) in Hospital Raja Permaisuri Bainun (HRPB) on this time around.
“Last year, we received warm response from our ticket sales and have successfully raised a good RM50,000 for the usage of children with epidemic diseases such as cancer in HRPB, and we are aiming to help NICU for the second season.
“Can you imagine, a basic incubator to keep a pre-matured baby in check costs thousands, and this is our future, those babies. So we were thinking, it is the crucial time for IIFW to help in any way possible
“Saving tiny babies, that is our motto and main objective this season ,”he said.
Louis said, the season two of IIFW is aimed to carve its brand of being a marque fashion events in Malaysia with unique runway featuring “Pret-a-Porter” (ready to wear designs), Islamic Fashion and Modern Cultural Fashion and Night of Glamour and Glitter for the opening launch.
With assortments of famous designers from China, Indonesia, Japan, Vietnam, Nepal, Korea and Malaysia- IIFW 2 will definitely be the starting point for the glam and trend here in our own beautiful Ipoh.
Besides featuring several Perak-born celebrities to assist IIFW 18′, the show will also showcase international models from Singapore, China, Russia dan Africa that will be flown in to parade the clothes and fashion accesories along with local model from IIFW.
“Table ticket sales for the opening charity gala dinner is priced at RM3,000, RM2,000 and RM1500 each table while tickets for NIte 2 Runway Show is priced at RM30 to encourage and promote opportunities for all to experience a fashion extravaganza show,”he said.
With the support from Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) Perak, Syuen Hotel Ipoh, Lost World of Tambun and much more, Louis aimed to dedicate the show not only to spectators but also to aspiring fashion designers from Malaysia itself.
